Industrial Dust Collection Equipment
We can choose based on the following aspects:
1. Selection based on dust dispersion in the workshop
The dispersion of dust in the workshop greatly affects the performance of dust collection equipment. Even with similar dust levels, different conditions can lead to significant differences in dust dispersion. Therefore, when selecting dust collection equipment, we must understand the dust dispersion.
2. Selection based on dust particle size
The particle size of dust has a significant impact on the dust collection efficiency of dust collection equipment. The most significant influences are from gravity, inertia, and centrifugal dust collectors. Therefore, there are three types of dust collection methods: gravity dust collectors, inertial dust collectors, and cyclone dust collectors.
3. Consideration of dust concentration
In dust collection equipment that filters dust, the lower the initial dust concentration, the better the overall dust collection effect in the workshop. When the initial dust concentration is high, dust collector manufacturers should design a continuous cleaning method with minimal pressure loss changes.
4. Consideration of Dust Resistance
The resistivity of dust collected by an electrostatic precipitator should be within the range of 10-10I. The resistivity of workshop dust varies depending on the temperature and humidity of the dust-laden gas, generally ranging from 100-200 ohms, indicating a relatively high resistance value.
5. Appropriate Selection of Dust Collection Equipment
Selecting dust control equipment requires understanding the composition of the dust and its operating conditions. Different dust treatment equipment is suitable for different scenarios. Currently, common dust treatment methods include cyclone dust collectors, cartridge dust collectors, and wet scrubbers.
Cyclone dust collectors are generally suitable for dust with larger particles and higher specific gravity. They have lower initial investment, simpler operation and management, and convenient dust collection.
Electrostatic precipitators have high purification efficiency, but higher investment costs and operating expenses.
Cartridge dust collectors offer the second-highest purification efficiency after electrostatic precipitators. They consume little energy, produce no secondary pollution, and have high dust collection efficiency, making cleaning relatively convenient. However, they require a large initial investment. Wet scrubbing, on the other hand, is suitable for treating various types of dust. It also boasts high capture efficiency, low investment cost, low operating expenses, and simple operation and management.
However, the collected dust has a high moisture content. If this dust is to be reused, it must be dehydrated. Direct transportation of the dust can cause secondary pollution due to the wastewater within the dust. Therefore, this method is generally not used.
If the dust treatment equipment in the workshop is relatively small, and it is necessary to remove harmful gases while simultaneously collecting all fine carbon black dust, a wet scrubbing system is generally recommended.
